George Mackey may have been born along the Mohawk River, ca 1819/20. I have no information on his ancestry. He met Ann Eliza Banta, of Saratoga Co., NY maybe near Ballston or Eastline. They married in 1843 and settled in Marquette Co., WI. The Mackey line descends from son Adelbert George Mackey. The DC of another son, Frank Percy Mackey, states that his father, George, was born along the Mohawk River. What is the significance of this? Were there camps along the Mohawk River. Searching for a Mackey family, living in Oneida, Herkimer, Montgomery, Schnectady or Albany Counties, ca 1819/20. (The Mohawk River flows through these counties). Thanks, Ron Yieding Palm Desert, CA
