Greetings! I am new to this list, and, since I am in California, need a favor from someone who has access to the 1855 INDEX OF SCHENECTADY CENSUS. I am researching my great, great grandparents, PATRICK AND CATHERINE KENNEDY who immigrated from Ireland and settled in Schenectady. Their only child, MARY ANN, was born in November of 1853. Mr. Kennedy died some time between 1853 and 1860 when I have found Catherine remarried and living in Chicago. (She was Mrs. John Maher.) I would appreciate someone's looking up in the state census index of 1855 for this family, either under Patrick or Catherine as head of household.
