    1. [NYSCHENE] WWII soldier killed in action from Schenectady

    3. There is a man named Walter J. Lipinski who was from somewhere in Schenectady Co. who was killed in action in WWII per the NARA records. I do not know what date he was killed. I am trying to figure out if he is a Lipinski I am looking for. My questions are: Where in Schenectady County would a Polish Catholic man be buried (if his body was returned to the US)? Is there a town/village where a Polish Catholic man of that era might more likely have lived? Is there a database or reference book or reference source giving more details about the WWII deaths in this county than the NARA source (only listing Co.; name; rank; circumstance of death; e.g., KIA, killed in action)? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Patty
