I always stay at the Extended Stay on Washington Ave., Albany. It is right across the street from the university campus, clean, quiet, affordable, and close to the thruway and freeways. If you are staying for at least a week, the rates are cheaper yet. One of the great things about this place is that you have kitchen facilities in the room (fridge, microwave, table, and stove top) and dishes are provided. The only thing you need is dish soap.
