Burnham Jr., 78, of Schenectady, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Stratton V.A. Medical Center in Albany. Mark was born in Pyrites, N.Y. and was the son of the late Mark W. Burnham Sr. and Violet Defoe Burnham. Mr. Burnham was a Schenectady resident for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country during World War II. Mr. Burnham owned and operated Mark's Mobil on Central Avenue in Colonie until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman. Mark is survived by his children, David Burnham and his wife Kathy of Syracuse and Gary Burnham and Marie Britten and her husband Randy, all of Schenectady. He is the brother of Elaine Burnham, Faye Burnham and the late Bill Burnham and Geraldine Oaster. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Andrea, Nicholas and Mark and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12:00 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 - south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 to 12:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.A.
