Kathy, The address for Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery is: 2501 Troy Road Niskayuna, New York 12309 I have found them to most helpful in supplying information on date of death, burial, others buried on the same plot and the funeral directors name. The funeral directors in this area have been most helpful, sometimes they even have a record of the people that attended the services. Regards, Loisann Horstmyer Berard
Kathy: I have family in that cemetery and I always use the Schenectady County Public Library. I think a look-up and copy is $6.00. You just send you request in and a check - doesn't take long at all either. They've been a tremendous help to me. Send it to : Schenectady County Public Library Attn: Mr. McGowan Reference Dept. 99 Clinton St. Schenectady, NY 12305 Good luck! Carol McNamara Virginia

Sorry, still didn't answer all your questions. Yes, Ancestry has NY on-line but it is not indexed so you have to know exactly where your ancestor lived and then look at each entry page by page to find them. Sorry, maybe poor choice of words. I mean that I am looking at EVERY page of EVERY district. What do you mean by this: "I'm scanning the 1930 Schenectady Census on Ancestry but there are a LOT of districts" I didn't know that Ancestry.com had the 1930 census for NYS. Hi, My name is Tricia Heseltine and I am a new subscriber to the list. I live in Dorset, England and am searching for information on my great uncle, Sydney Price and his family. Sydney emigrated to the United States in 1910 aboard the Caronia and went to 1055 Strong Street, Schenectady to join his brother in law B Thomas. Later that year his wife Alice (Nee Morris) and son Herbert S Price joined him. Sidney was born 21st May 1877 in Builth, Brecknock, Wales and Alice born ca 1878, Carmarthen, Wales. Does anyone have any census information regarding Sydney and his family please? Or can anyone tell me what became of the family? I will be grateful for any help. Many thanks Tricia Heseltine' Corfe Mullen, Dorset, England
Is there anyone with access to the 1865 New York State Census who is willing to do a lookup for me? I need the transcription for the following household: John Turnbull household, Schenectady Co., Duanesburgh/1st, reel #169, dwelling #121, family #132. These numbers are from the copy held at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana...I don't know if they are the same in all repositories. I am happy to reimburse you for your time and postage. Thanks! Diane --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
