    2. Hi Sande, I do some research on the Beebe surname. I'm not directly connected to the Beebe's my surname Day were married to the Beebe's many times. I do have Aaron Fox Beebe in my file but he is at the end of my twigging on the Beebe surname. This is the info I have. It is mot proven but can maybe lead you in the right direction. Aaron Fox Beebe b) 1 Jan 1793 Dorset, Bennington, VT. m) Abigail ? 1814 Children - Cynthy, Richard Every, Margaret Jane, John Elihu, Steadman Fox, Catherine, Joseph Phelps and Mary Ann Parents - Elihu Beebe and Sarah Fox The line goes like this to the immigrant; William Beebe & Eleanor Jonathan Beebe & Bridget Brockway Samuel Beebe (immigrant) and Mary Keeny There is an excellent site for Beebe research. It is Alan Henry's web page and he is very knowledgeable on the surname Beebe. http//members.acesstoledo.comalanhenry Hopefully this will help. Diana in Wash

    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" a group of family photographs including one of Robert SILVERNAIL taken at the Talbot Studio in Schenectady, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Robert appearing to be in his 20's at the time. In addition to his name someone has written "Ed WORTH's cousin" on the back of the photograph. The photograph was recovered along with 21 other photographs belonging to the BORSTAD, HAGGERTY, and WORTH Families from Mobile, AL; Williamstown, MA; Providence, RI; New York City, NY; and North Adams, MA; I'm hoping to locate someone from the family so that the photographs can be returned to their rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. Hello All, The Beukendaal Massacre occurred on 18 Jul 1748 in Schenectady County NY. At least 20 persons were killed by Indians. 7 were solders, the others were settlers. In addition 13 or 14 others were taken prisoner. I am related to a number of the persons who died or were taken prisoner. I found some information about the Beukendaal Massacre on www.google.com <http://www.google.com/> I would be interested in corresponding with anyone who has ancestors who were killed by Indians at this time. 3. Many thanks to all who replied. Leslie, all I have is Andrew Duely born 1820- 1823. Census information states father from Ireland, mother from Scotland. He did marry Catharine Dryden who was born in Roxbourgshire in 1825 amd immigrated to Hemmingford, QC. I would love to find a marriage certificate, around 1840- 1845. Have checked both the Protestant and Catholic records in the area with no luck. If anyone has any other thoughts please let me know. I definitely am not giving up. Somewhere there has to be a record. 3. Office on the concourse is closed, which means we have more time for searching, since it closed at 4:30. Now requests are placed in a drop box in the registration area of the archives. The wait for my last received order was five weeks, because of staffing shortages, I've been told. Currently the wait for mailed requests is ten months or more. 3. Hi, If you have ever seen the State form you will see that on the front it says $22 On the back it has a scale according to the number of years that they have to search - this pertains to when you don't have a date - Schenectady did not interpret it correctly so they have 3 different prices depending on the number of years back from now. This has got to be corrected. BArbara __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance Tax Center - File online. File on time. http://taxes.yahoo.com/filing.html

    2. Barbara, Could you please explain the paragraph below a little more fully? And yes, the office on the concourse closed because the lady retired. They moved it to another location. However, I believe there is now a box right at the archives where a request form and check can be deposited and you will get the certificate in two to three weeks. Ruth Cherecwich In a message dated 3/26/2004 1:36:27 PM Mountain Standard Time, albnews@yahoo.com writes: Schenectady ignored that and are starting with $22 and going up to $42 per - like they want $42 for 1885 & 1889 even if you have the correct date which is, as someone said, highway robbery.

    3. Hi, I just got back from Schenectady City Clerk's office and discovered that they have raised their prices as of Mar 1st. The woman said that they were going along with the State and she gave me a copy of the State form and on the back of it they have a series of fees based upon the years to be searched starting with $22 for 1-3 yrs and ending with $162 for 61-70 years; however, on the front of the form it just says: FEE-$22.00 includes search and uncertified copy or notification of no record. Schenectady ignored that and are starting with $22 and going up to $42 per - like they want $42 for 1885 & 1889 even if you have the correct date which is, as someone said, highway robbery. Also, did I hear that the office in the concourse had closed? Barbara Jeffries jeffribm@yahoo.com __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance Tax Center - File online.
