I am looking for more information concerning John and Eliza (Zinstine) Goodnow of NY. John Goodnow b. 1828 NY (?) d. 1906 Eliza Zinstine b. in Canada and listed as 19 in the 1851 Dundas Co. Ontario census. I believe her parents to be Jonas and Marie-Anne (Messaillers) Zinstein. Eliza was probably born in Montreal or Drummondville, Quebec. I have no idea how young Eliza got to NY from Canada or whenthis couple got married. In 1860 Federal Census, John (age 32) and Eliza (age 29) are listed in Moreau, Saratoga, NY. John is a shoemaker. In 1870 Federal Census, they are living in Stony Creek, Warren Co. with two daughter, Addie (7) and Nellie (1). In 1880 Federal Census, they are still in Stony Creek, Warren Co. only Nellie is at home (age 11). I would like to hear from anyone researching this Goodnow branch. Thank you. Lori Ellison
