    3. According to the Saratoga County NY Deed Books Index (up to 1840)which Heritage Hunters members are compiling, Abraham Calkins purchased property in the Town of Halfmoon from Richard Burtis and his wife Elizabeth. The deed was written in 1808 and may be found in Deed book G, pages 287-289. You may order this by contacting the Saratoga County Clerk, 40 McMaster Street, Ballston Spa NY 12020. Cost is $1.00 per page to copy & mail documents. All fees must be paid before copies are mailed. We are not yet printed many of the S deeds so do not yet have the info on Swartwout. In 2002 Heritage Hunters printed an Index to Surrogate Court Files 1791 - 1900, Saratoga County New York. According to this index, there is a will filed for Abraham Calkins in 1833 - In Drawer Number 016, Folder 40. If you cannot get to the Saratoga County Surrogate Court yourself you might want to contact the Saratoga County Historian's office at 50 McMaster Street, Ballston Spa NY 12020, for a list of qualified researchers to assist you in searching the records of the Surrogate Court. There are several entries for Swartout/Swartwout in the Surrogate Index, but none for Francis. I hope this info is helpful. 3. May I ask for a lookup? Please and thank you! Barnum/Barham/Burnham and who knows what other variation of the family name...I've hit a brick wall and I know the answer or clue is out there somewhere. Specifically, I'm looking for the family and info pertaining to Comfort Barnum or possibly a Thomas Barnum? I want to thank you in advance for your time if you are able to do this lookup for me. If not, totally understand, and thank you anyway.
