Leslie, In some old papers my mother had I have found an Indenture that may settle which Isaac Freeman I'm really descended from. Or maybe not. (see below for transcript) As I read it, Reuben Freeman sold the described piece of land to Samuel Knight 15 August 1854. The name Reuben Freeman has not showed up on my previous researches but in the deed Freeman to Freeman; Stillwater, Saratoga County which you transcribed and put on the Heritage Hunters site apparently Isaac Freeman had sold land to Reuben Freeman June of 1847. Is the piece of land in my mother's papers part of the same piece of land? Here's the relevant part of the original from my mother's papers: (Written portions in Italics - hope it comes through.) Found in papers of Euilla Freeman, widow of Isaac Freeman. Recorded in Saratoga Clerk's office 21 August 1854 in Book 46 page 106. The seals beside Reuben and Hanna Freeman's signatures are covered by triangular pieces of gray paper. WHAT THINK YOU? ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
