(Map enclosed) -snip- Interesting coincidence. I just got an email from a fellow in Saratoga county asking about my wife's William JOLLY Revolutionary war veteran. William was from Fairfield CT- but his wife & daughter ended up in Providence, Saratoga county after the war. [connected to the CHASE & MOSHER families there- I think they came up from Duchess county with them] William Jolly was in the 7th CT. Regiment, Col. Heman Swift, in 1777. [he died at Valley forge in Dec.] I just transcribed the regimental roster from CT Men in the Revolution to try to find any connections to William-- That didn't work out but I have to ask if this Abiram Galusha was also in a CT Regiment. But in the 7th there were Thomas and Jacob Galusha who enlisted for 3ys in Capt. Hill's Company on April 23 & 24 1777. Thomas deserted Oct 25, 1778 & Jacob was discharged Feb 14, 1781. Capt Ebenezer Hill was a replacement for Capt. Elizur Warner who resigned in Sept 1777. Galusha is an uncommon enough name to make me ask if these fellows found their way to Saratoga County, too. Or in what form is it? I would like to know about Nathaniel Cowles from Southington, and Daniel Boardman/Bordman, possibly from Wethersfield. Thank you. "... Until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ."
