Her parents were Samuel Spencer, Jr. and Deborah Spencer. Father Samuel was the son of Samuel and Mary Carter, while Deborah Spencer was the daughter of Thomas Spencer III and Deborah (?) of Saybrook, Middlesex Co., Ct. Do you see any connection there? There are several families of Spencer in Ct. There are also two brothers who were in Hartford,Ct. I have a Spencer way way back in one line. I know I got a lot of information from the Ct. State Library in Hartford. A great great research facility.
