I don't know the years of operation at that location, or the status of any records. Many local people were sent to the "insane asylum" at Utica - the Utica State Hospital, which seems to have been in operation for quite a long time, but I don't know the status of records for that place either. The best bet for the 1907 death is the death certificate, from the New York State Department of Health in Albany - you know the year, and if you order from Albany, you don't need the exact location.
