Letter #60 Envelope addressed: Mrs F. D. Wheeler Saratoga Politeness of Capt Rugg Camp near Bell Plain Va February 21-1863 Dear Mother Capt Rugg starts home to day, so I thought I would write a few words. I wrote you yesterday but this will probably reach you first. It took me three days to reach here, bringing me a day over time, but, that was all right. I am most will of my cold, and felt glad to get back to what seems my home. I lost a little ambrotype of Alice, out of my coat pocket. I think it dropped out on the floor in the house, if you find it i wish you would send it by Capt Rugg, also send me one of the small photographs if they are done. Send me a letter by Rugg when he returns. Your Son Luther -- Ruth Barton mrgjb@sover.net Dummerston, VT
