I am still looking for decendants of the family of Francis WHEELER who was living in Saratoga Springs at the time of the Civil War. What I know: Francis WHEELER and wife Abigail MILLER Wheeler Children: Frank (I assume Francis) Luther Miller WHEELER (died unmarried in Civil War) Wendell Abbie I know Frank was married and had a child at the time Luther was in the Civil War. I think he was Supt./Principal of a local school. Wendell and Abbie were still school age and at home. I would very much like to know of any descendants of this family. Ruth, I wonder if you know the name of Abigail's parents. I am looking for William H Miller bn abt 1825 and his wife Eliza Unknown Maiden bn abt 1826 name. I found them in the census of Milton, Saratoga with their sons, William Wallace Miller bn 19 Jun 1850 and Montiford Harry Miller bn Jul 1852. Willliam Wallace married Lizzie L. Henderson (buried in MI) and resided in MI for a bit and then moved back to NY (buried in Mt. Pleasant or New Salem cemetery). M. Harry married Sarah Tabor and they lived in MI for a bit with William and his wife Lizzie, then moved back to Milton. both are buried in Middle Grove Cemetery along with some of their children. Any help in finding more info on William and Eliza would be helpful. I cannot locate where they are buried although son, William Wallace's death certificate states his father was born in Saratoga County. Thanks William and Eliza are by 2nd g-grandparents. I have a great deal of information on their descendants and would be willing to share. Pauli, I don't have Abigail's parents names right handy but I could look them up. However, they lived here, in Dummerston, VT, not NY, I know that much for certain. Ruth, thanks. I don't know where William Miller's parents were born, but someday, I might find his death record and then perhaps will gain a bit more info.
