    3. How I wish that I could join you, but can't because of distance. Is there a way to obtain the info that will be passed along whether it is pictures, handouts or any other media? My mother was a Dake b. 1899 in Greenfield, as were 200 years worth of her ancestors. I am more than willing to pay all fees involved. Thanks, Marge Erickson CWald36709@aol.com wrote: The August 18th Meeting begins at 10AM in Greenfield Center at the Town of Greenfield Historian's Office which is in the building immediately north of the Town Hall, at the intersection of Rte 9N and Greenfield Center Rd.(approx. 4.5 miles from downtown Saratoga Springs). Mary DeMarco, historian, will outline the history of Greenfield and share resources that she has which might be of interest to family historians. Next stop is the Kings Railroad Station where we will have lunch before touring the railroad car museum. Bring your own lunch and something to share if you wish. Next we move on to the Town of Greenfield Historical Society building in Middle Grove. Joyce Woodward will speak about the building, Greenfield and their files. Our last stop is the Daketown School, an original one room school. Watch for HH signs at each location. Invite your family and friends to join you. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYSARATO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Dear Marjorie, I have in my possession a book "Greenfield Glimpses" prepared by Clayton H. Brown published 1976 by the Greenfield Town Board. It has a very complete history of the Dake Brothers and mentions Dake names about 6 or 7 more times throughout the book. Perhaps the Heritage Hunters Meeting attendees will know where you can get a copy of the book.
