    3. Leslie - Reference your e-mail to me regarding Fords in Saratoga. I looked through my files and could find no specific references to home sites. William E. Ford's initial residence was "around Bemis Heights" Otherwise, the Fords I am researching resided in Stillwater, Northumberland and Milton. - Gary -----Original Message----- From: nysarato-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:nysarato-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Leslie B. However, several people told me that they did not understand the query that I had posted yesterday. So let me try again and please forgive my persistence. However, if you can help me please contact me off list. My e-mail address is LBPotter@comcast.net. I am trying to compile a property baseline map of the farms within the Saratoga Tax District of Albany County, NY as they existed in 1777. So if you had ancestors, who lived in the Hudson River corridor between the north bank of Anthony Kill in present day Mechanicville, Saratoga County and the Rt. 197 bridge across the Hudson at present day Ft. Edward, Washington County, please contact me. Thank you for your help. Again I apologize for the "off topic" posting. 3. Gary, Bemis Heights is a section of the present day town of Stillwater which was located in the eastern section of Great Lott 12 of the Second Grand Division of the Saratoga Patent. When I checked my 1866 Beers Topographical Atlas of Saratoga County, I found a John Ford listed on that map on the west side of the second road west of the Hudson River and running parallel to the Hudson River. (The second road west of the river means that the John Ford on the 1866 lived up on the Heights not down on the flood plain. What are the dates for your William E. Ford? Right now I am headed to a "meteor show" party at church so I really don't have time to check the other maps for Fords. However, tomorrow, I shall look for Fords in the 1866 Beers Atlas in the towns of Northumberland and Milton.
