Hi All, I'm new to the list and thought I'd post a little about the Saratoga connections I'm researching. Gilbert WEEKS (Wix, Wicks), my ggg grandfather b. 30 Aug 1812, Stillwater, Saratoga, NY. Moved to Delaware Co., OH about 1831 where he married Eunice GRIST. Moved to Jones Co., Iowa about 1855 Moved to Greene Co. Iowa about 1884 where he died in 1893. We'd like to confirm who his parents are. For many years we believed they were Jacob WEEKS and Mary ROSS, but some recently found records indicate Gilbert's father may have been Stephen WEEKS who was a brother of Jacob. Jacob WEEKS was b. about 1769 in New York or Vermont. Mary ROSS b. about 1771 probably in New York. The father of both Jacob WEEKS and Stephen WEEKS and thus grandfather of Gilbert WEEKS was Daniel WEEKS b. 1741 in Saratoga Co., NY. Daniel was a Rev. War vet who died in Delaware Co., Ohio in 1817.
