Hello everyone! I'm the new kid on the list. Looking for any info on ELIJAH HOOPER, Rev. War soldier; born probably about 1750-60 in Saratoga Co somewhere. Moved to Tompkins Co, NY in early 1800's. Had a daughter LORINDA H. HOOPER, born Dec 1807 supposedly in Saratoga. Elijah MAY have been a Loyalist; one researcher told me that he was a Colonel, but there seems to be np trace of him in the DAR Index. I don't know where he was when he died, but I assume it was Tompkins Co, NY. The obituary of LORINDA refers to Elijah as her father, and uses the expression "of Revolutionary fame" of him. Anybody out there run across Elijah or Lorinda?...or have any ideas? This is one of my TWO serious brick walls; any help or suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated.
