    1. [NYSARATO] Mackey Family 1830-1840
    2. Ron Yielding
    3. Ann Eliza Banta, was born on 11 Jan 1827, nears Jonesville, Saratoga Co., NY. She was the child of Isaac Banta and Amy Weeks, and descends from the immigrant Epke Jacobse, of Frisland. She married George Mackey on 09 May 1843, place unknown. In the late 1840s this family shows up in Marquette and later Green Lake Counties, WI., where they had several children, all of two of which died at young ages. Adelbert G. and Frank P. survived and eventually settled in California. After George's death in 1873, Ann Eliza went to St. Louis, MO (where a brother lived), then to Portege, Colombia Co., WI; and finally settled in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, around 1900. She died there on 11 Dec 1915, and is buried at Evergreen Cemetery. My search concerns the ancestry of George Mackey. A WI census record states that he was born in PA, ca 1819-1820, but I surmise that this Mackey family later settled in Saratoga CO., NY. Can anyone help me with information about any Mackey families who were in Saratoga CO., NY in the 1830s - 1840s. Ann Eliza returned to SAratoga Co., NY in 1852 where son Adelbert G. was born at Eastline. There was a George T. Mackey and a W.B. Mackey family in WI during the 1850s, but I have not been able to make any connection. In the family of W.B. Mackey there was a marriage into the Lloyd and Cadawalder families, both of PA. Thanks, Ron Yielding Palm Springs, CA
