Hi, My Saratoga ancestors start with Henry Edwards, b. 1758, d. 1846, married Sarah "Sally" Baker, b. 1769, d. 1851. They had: 1. Sarah b. 1792 2. Anna b. 1794 married 1)Cornelius Van Slyke and 2)Martin Wines 3. Lewis Baker Edwards, b. 1796, married 1) unknown, 2) Sarah Van Vorst, and 3) Charlotte Spainhower 4. Charles Edwards, b. 1798, married Eliza Skinner 5. Samuel Baker Edwards, b. 1800 in Charlton, Saratoga Co., married Ruth L. Rogers 6. Henry Edwards, b. 1802, married Elizabeth Rogers 7. Esther Edwards, b. 1804, married Henry Kelsy 8. Daniel Edwards, b. 1807 9. Alfred Edwards, b. 1809 10. Reuben Edwards, b. 1812, married Jane Electa Rogers. So 3 Edwards brothers married 3 Rogers sister! My ancestor, Samuel Baker Edwards (#5 above) and his wife, Ruth L. Rogers had: 1. Henry Sanford Edwards, b. 1825, married Elizabeth Butterfield 2. John Morillo Edwards, b. 1827, married Emily Pierce 3. Sarah Jane Edwards, b. 1829 in Burnt Hills, Saratoga, married Aaron Freeman 4. Byron Edwards, b. 1831, married Helen Rickerson (my ancestor) 5. Lewis Edwards, b. 1833, married Matilda White 6. Ruth Anna Edwards, b. 1836, married Benjamin Conde 7. Samuel Edwards, b. 1839, married 1) Harriet A. Mellon and 2) Emma Wiliard Peck 8. George Thatcher Edwards, b. 1844, married Jennie E. Armstrong 9. Marietta Edwards, b. 1846, married William Visscher. Also, Ruth Rogers Edwards, wife of Samuel Baker Edwards, family was in Saratoga County. Her parents were: John Rogers, b. 1768, married Sarah Wilson, b. 1769. They both died in Charlton, Saratoga.
