I have a copy of a rather jumbled and as yet unproven partial genealogy that talks about Avery and Edwards families and Eli Closson from Saratoga County going to Kansas in 1874. In fact, it appears that Rueben and Jane Electa ROGERS Edwards were a part of the group that went and returned. Maria STEVENS Avery is supposed to have died there in 1874 and some of the group returned to Saratoga County after having been there for only six months. I have not tried to find the part of Kansas as yet other than on the Kansas Genweb.
