Looking for parents/ancestors of my GGGrandfather Timothy CHAPMAN. Born Sept. 26, 1789 and lived in Charlton, Saratoga County, NY. Timothy died there on Aug. 29, 1838 and is buried in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Charlton, Saratoga County, NY. Timothy married Sarah HILLER, the girl next door, daughter of Summers and Betsey (BAILEY) HILLER on Feb. 6, 1817 at the First Presbyterian Church at Ballston Center, Saratoga County, NY. Timothy and Sarah had two children: Summers CHAPMAN. Born Jan. 28, 1818. Died Aug 18, 1818. Small child. Henry PLATT CHAPMAN. Born Feb 28, 1819. Died Oct. 27, 1885 in Elkhart, Ind. Timothy bought property from an Israel and Sarah CHAPMAN on June 11, 1817 in Charlton, Saratoga County, NY. Believe that Sarah's maiden name was BARKER. Israel CHAPMAN and a Benjamin CHAPMAN who had Property next to the property that Timothy bought, both resided in Charlton, Saratoga County, NY. Trying to establish the relationship of Israel and Benjamin CHAPMAN to Timothy. Sarah and her son Henry migrated to Elkhart Indiana with the HILLER family after Timothy's death.
