I've been extracting the early NJ marriage bonds and posting them to the NJ GenWeb Archives. When I saw your note about an Arie BANTA that came from New Jersey, I ran a search for the BANTA surname in the records that I've already completed. Here is what I found thru Vol. G. - and there is an Arie BANTA in the bunch. They all seem to be from Bergen County, NJ. When there was a discrepancy with a name in the body of the bond and the signature, the difference of the signature is in parentheses. NOTE: these are only "alphabetized" by the first letter of the GROOM's surname, you have to go thru all of them when searching for info on women, which is why I started this in the first place.
