The information on the certificates that I've seen varies somewhat in completeness and quality. Sometimes parents' places of birth are given specifically, sometimes not. The information depends on the knowledge of the informer, who may or may not have known, say, the names of the decedents parents. Sometimes the age at death is accurate, some times not.
