    2. Hello All, My ancestor, David HAYES, left Saratoga County during the early 1840's. He went all of the way to Broadalbin in Fulton County. I know all about the family while they lived in Fulton County, but I have never really found anything about this family while they lived in Clifton Park. They were members of the Baptist Church there. David's father was William HAYES. Both David and William are listed in the 1820 US Census. He married Rachel in about 1821. This family left Ireland in about 1817. Why did they settle in Clifton Park? Were there persons from his part of Ireland living there? David grew flax made linen cloth. Does anyone have anything on the availability of flax seed or other flax growers from this area? Elias T. HAYES is the step brother of David HAYES. He was born 10 Jun 1828 and probably has descendants living in Saratoga County. Does anyone have any information about this family?
