    3. May I ask for a lookup? Please and thank you! Barnum/Barham/Burnham and who knows what other variation of the family name...I've hit a brick wall and I know the answer or clue is out there somewhere. Specifically, I'm looking for the family and info pertaining to Comfort Barnum or possibly a Thomas Barnum? I want to thank you in advance for your time if you are able to do this lookup for me. If not, totally understand, and thank you anyway. Cost is $1.00 per page to copy & mail documents. All fees must be paid before copies are mailed. We are not yet printed many of the S deeds so do not yet have the info on Swartwout. In 2002 Heritage Hunters printed an Index to Surrogate Court Files 1791 - 1900, Saratoga County New York. According to this index, there is a will filed for Abraham Calkins in 1833 - In Drawer Number 016, Folder 40. If you cannot get to the Saratoga County Surrogate Court yourself you might want to contact the Saratoga County Historian's office at 50 McMaster Street, Ballston Spa NY 12020, for a list of qualified researchers to assist you in searching the records of the Surrogate Court. There are several entries for Swartout/Swartwout in the Surrogate Index, but none for Francis. I hope this info is helpful. 3. On the Town of Edinburg official website, there is a photo of the "Zenstine shop - Beecher Hollow". This is on the Industry history page. Does anyone have more information about this photo? Was this "shop" a carpenter's shop? Did it belong to William H. Zinstine or someone else? When was the photo taken? How can I get a copy of this photo etc? I have made this request on the town website etc and no one has ever replied. Would appreciate any help. Thank you, Lori Ellison

    3. There are no Thomas or Comfort Burnam, Barnum, Barham, Burnham etc. that purchased property in Saratoga County by 1840, which is as far as the grantee deed index goes. There also are no entries in the Surrogate Court Index (1791-1900) for a Thomas or Comfort Barnum etc. Sorry. 3. The Deed Index goes only to 1840. There are 2 entries for William H. Miller, one in 1835 and one in 1836. Your William H. would have been only 11 or 12. The entries are: William H. Miller from Ralph R. Mann & his wife Juliet A. in 1835 in the Town of Ballston, Book AA page 514-5. William H. Miller from Horton Mann & his wife Elizabeth in 1836 in Town of Ballston, Book BB, page 125-6. Interestingly, my husband has a William H. Miller, born May 15 1836, who married Caroline H. Shepherd. They lived in Ketchums Corners, Saratoga Co, and had one son, Shepherd B. Miller. 3. HI Joe, Most of my information starts in the 1600s and goes up to the early 1800s. Both the Vroomans and Dingmans are direct ancestors for several generations. The familysearch.org website has a Jane Vroman who was the d/o Joseph Vroman and Eliza C. Jones. They have her birth date as 1865. If this is the Sarah Jane you are looking for, I have her line back to the 1600s. If this is the correct person, Sarah is my 5th and 6th cousin. There is a Frank Dingman who was 14 in the 1880 Census. He was living with an uncle in Gallupville, Schoharie County, NY. There is also a Frank J. Dingman who was 14 and living with his family in Minden, Montgomery County, NY. His father is listed as Conley Dingman who ws born in 1821. His wife was Eliza who was born in 1829. This is as far as I can go. If you can find someone who was baptized in the Schenectady Reformed Church, there is a 70% chance that I am related to them. I have entered about 7,000 persons who are listed in that church into my file. I have about 7,000 more name to add to my website. Richard >

    3. You have a huge amount of information there! Your site has been bookmarked. We must be related somehow, but I am waiting for some information to come in the mail this summer. Frank Dingman 1865-1936) and Sarah Jane Vroman (1864-1938) were my gg grandparents and lived and died in Delanson, NY. They are buried at the Grove Cemetery in Delanson. I'm at a roadblock with Frank, and if my Sarah is who I think she is there is a wealth of information out there already researched.
