New York, married to William H. Davis with daughters Sarah Jane (b. 1848 in Andes) . In Andes Co census 1865 she is age 36, living with children Sarah Jane, Harriet, John, Betsy, Melissa, Mary. It says Patience was born in "Sullivan" County? Also living with the family is brother-in-law Andrew Jersey, born in Delaware Co. Could this be the same Andrew later living in Rockland, married to Louisa? Ages do not quite match. After the death of William Davis, Patience married Henry Butler, and had at least one more child. In 1919 she was 91 and living with her daughter Sarah Jane who was married to John Burns, also born in Andes, NY, a civil war veteran. Patience was present, along with 10 of 12 children of Sarah Jane and John at their 50th wedding anniversary celebration in Geneseo Township, Iowa, where the couple had settled in 1869. Any information on either John Burns's family or! Sarah Davis's or Patience Jersey Davis Butler will be appreciated! She must have been quite a woman, as was her daughter Sarah Jane.
