He was born in Haverstraw NY, to John Edward Barry and Ellen Montrose Barry, in 1927. Tragically, his father died in an accident on Bear Mountain in 1934. My father and his family moved away from the Haverstraw area when Daddy was around 15 years old. His Haverstraw relatives on the Barry side include Patrick Barry, Richard Barry, Ann Barry Callahn, margaret Barry. Any contact with this side of my family would be greatly appreciated.
