Heart trouble was the cause of death. Mrs. Conklin was born 57 years ago in Highland Falls, but had lived in Stony Point the greater part of her life. Funeral services will be held at the residence of Mrs. Oliver Conklin on Washburn's Lane Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Charles E. Hamilton of the Stony Point M.E. Church will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Rest Cemetery by Undertaker Dutcher. Surviving her are six children. They are four daughters, Mrs. Hanford Jones of Spring Valley, Catherine of White Plains, and Irene and Florence, and two sons, Calvin and Warren Conklin. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George Sehlbrede of Highland Falls and Mrs. Jessie Simpson of Annapolis, MD, and one brother, Ezra Drew of Glen Cove, L.I. Parents: Townsend Drew, born Cornwall, New York; Margaret Blanche, born New City, New York. Obituary: Rockland County Times, Saturday, 19 Apr 1924: Mr. Calvin T. Conklin died at his home in Viola on Tuesday, April 15th, aged 36 years. He was formerly a resident of Stony Point, and his funeral took place from the M.E. Church in that place yesterday, and interment was in the family plot in Mt. Rest Cemetery, under direction of Messrs. Dutcher. A wife and 6 children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Conklin, one sister, Florence, and two brothers, Warren and Brewster, survive him. NOTE: According to my information, Brewster was a stepbrother, and Calvin's natural mother had died prob. c1895; his stepmother was still living.
