"New York, Rockland County, Haverstraw Census Record: Michael Carney, age 35, Haverstraw, born in Ireland - he was a resident for 12 years in Rockland Co Mary Carney, age 30, Haverstraw, born in Ireland - she was a resident for 7 years in Rockland Co Martin Carney, age 7, Haverstraw, born Rockland Co Margaret Carney, age 5, Haverstraw, born Rockland Co Elisabeth Carney, age 4, Haverstraw, born Rockland Co Mary Carney, age 2, Haverstraw, born Rockland Co." I found the Carney/Kearney family in the 1860 & 1870 censuses. In 1860 the "Kearney" family was living in Haverstraw; Michael age 35 born in Ireland Mary age 30 born in Ireland Martin age 12 born in Pennsylvania Margaret age 10 born in New York Elisabeth age 8 born in New York Mary age 6 born in New York John age 5 born in New York Michael age 1 born in New York.
