Della was born in 1917, then adopted out of the family in 1920 at the age of 3. From the info you have posted we must be cousins. They lived on West 18th Street in NYC? I would enjoy hearing from you! My grandmother never spoke much about it, but my Aunt was named Ann Elizabeth so she must have had some contact with the family. On the adoption papers it states that in 1920, her father had died. My mother Joan b. 1937 and Ann b. 1939 are still alive in Queens and Suffolk County NY, but are suffering from different stages of Alzheimers. Della passed at the age of 56 from cancer in the mid 70's, she was a smoker. Elizabeth J. Tomlins Shaw? I have Anna Elizabeth Shaw, but I think this should be looked into.
