I was very interested in the information about Barbara de Mare. Since I live in Ohio and cannot attend the meeting I would appreciate information on her Hannah Osborne. Several of the descendants have hunted through land records and found nothing so maybe there was a partition. My ancestor James Osborn, in his memoirs, said he lived in the Kakiat(born there in 1774). His father James sold the land and moved in NJ around 1784. We have found absolutely no records of this transaction. We have found a will of John Osborn d 1770 in New Hempstead, who left his land to his sons James and John and his daughters Hannah, Mary Elizabeth, Phoebe, Sarah, Rachel, Martha & Nancy. His wife was Ann who was not necessarily his first wife. He left wife Ann his household goods; left James 50 acres where he now lives & 7 shillings; left John 150 acres; the rest was to be sold and the money paid to the daughters. Son James & friend Gilbert Cuyper executors. I have no proof that this John was James', b 1774, grandfather, but this is the only information that fits the family. Does Barbara know where we could find information on James s/o John selling land in 1784?? Could someone forward this to her? Connie Maguire
