Westchester County Genealogical Society (NY) Upcoming Meeting The upcoming WCGS meeting is on “Researching 20th Century Military Service”. On Veteran’s Day - Saturday November 11 at 10am., John Lozito will show us techniques to use to uncover military service member information. He has spent more than the past ten years documenting the wartime service of his great uncle, who died at the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. John has learned how to search primary and secondary sources relating to military history, and has gathered information from infantrymen, curators, military historians and document archivists. John is a candidate for an MA degree in Military History at the American Military University. The meeting will be held at the Aldersgate Methodist Church, 600 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry (across from Mercy College on route 9). Guests are welcome ($3 donation is requested). There will be refreshments and genealogical networking starting at 9:30am.
