Looking for any additional info on this branch of my tree August JOHNSON arrived Nov 1899 from Sweden 1900 Federal census living at Franklin Court; Brooklyn; Kings County; New York; occupation as a cabinet maker Source 1900 federal census Enum dist 73 sheet 11 A in 1910 August had married Addie PHILLIPS in 1901 they were now living on West St. in Ramapo Spring Valley Village;Rockland Co., New York they had 3 children Maria S. 8, Carroll L. 3, (my grandfather), Edna B. 2, shows August's occupation as a carpenter building houses. he owned his home Source 1910 Federal census Enum dist 121 sheet 14 A in 1920 August & Addie now had 6 children Marie 18, Carroll 13, Edna 11, Olivea 9, Orville 5, & Doris 1, they are still in Spring Valley Village and August is still a carpenter. < if someone can decipher the street on the far left side that would be great. Source 1920 Federal Census Enum dist 234 sheet 11 B in 1930 August and Addie have Carroll 23, Orville 15, & Doris 11, still living at there house. the house is on New Hempstead Road Town of Ramapo Rockland Co., New York. August still is a House Carpenter he owns his home Source 1930 Federal Census Enum dist 44-39 sheet 5B Carroll married Beatrice Irene CONKLIN 1913-2002 and they had 3 children Phyllis (my mother) Carroll Leroy Jr.(desc) & Betty Lou Any newspaper clippings, stories, found photos, obits, welcome. as of this time Orville and Doris are still alive. but I keep getting the we'll get it to you mental block when I ask for their address.
