As late as the early 1900's my family was still receiving holiday greetings from one (unidentified) Raymond FISHER from up in that area (your husband's family included a Raymond of about that era.) An unidentified Aunt or Grandmother/Step Grandmother "Charlotte" is also mentioned in family lore. I have only one known ancestor remaining to identify in that line, perhaps he was related to your husband's FISHERS? His birth date would make him a contemporary of your husband's ancestor. Nyack, bp Clarkstown RDC. One child: Sarah Jane FISHER m. James YOUNG. In 1850 census, George FISHER's occupation was mason. George's granddaughter married a man (emigrated to NY from England) whose family owned a clay pipe manufacturing business in England (your husband's FISHER family involvement in the cigar industry also noted.)
