    3. Dear Elizabeth, Rockland County naturalizations are online at http://userdb.rootsweb.com/naturalization/NY/Rockland/ Sloatsburg is in Rockland County. Sloatsburg, Tuxedo, and Southfields are adjacent to each other, and I'm not sure, but in the 1850s Sloatsburg may have been the town most apt to have had a bank. However, I was trying to help a lady with Irish ancestors who lived in that same area a while ago - and while the husband claimed to be a naturalized citizen in later censuses, I never was able to find a record of it. He also worked for the railroad, and I wondered if it had been more convenient to become naturalized in NJ while down there for work? 3. Oh, pooh, I can get to a RootsWeb page but can't perform a search - "page not found". I used to use it - have no idea why it isn't working now.
