For any who are interested, I located Bombey's Hook for Karen Izzo who asked the original question and answered her privately. It's a promontory in the Palisades about two mile north of the present day Alpine Boat Basin and at 520 feet above the Hudson is one of the highest points, if not the highest point, of the southern section of Palisades overlooking the Hudson. And, of course, it lies within Bergen County, New Jersey. I located it on one of a number of hiking maps I have of the Palisades and the Hudson Highland region, all of which include many place names and named features that can't be found on conventional road maps or even the USGS quadrangles. And for what it's worth, the spelling on my maps is Bombay Hook omitting any possessive. Kelvin Kean Elverson, Pennsylvania
