My ggg grandfather, according to family tradition, owned a quarry in the Palisades. Sure enough, in the 1893-1894 Yonkers directory, he is listed as a stone dealer, Bompey's Hook. I cannot find this on any current map. Does anyone know where this place might have been? Thanks, Karen Izzo
