Hi List: I just joined the list and I need some help finding my FORSHAY line. I am trying to trace back from my Grandfather Frank FORSHAY b. 27 Oct 1882 in Upper Saddle River, NJ. He married Edna MACKEY. Franks father was William O. FORSHEE b. 12 April 1858, he married Jane Bush. William's father was Cornelius FORSHEE b. 18 March 1835 in Ramapo. Here is my problem. My mother says that Cornelius should have come from Canada. But I find records where he was born in Ramapo, NY. I can go back 2 more generations and according to the records all where born in the states. Some where back there some one came from France through Canada, but I can't find who it was so far. Can anybody out there give me some help on this problem?
