Chris, There is a MANN family in the region of Palisades, Rockland Co, NY. stemming from the a German, David MANN and his son, George MANN. Their line is detailed over several generations in a Mann Family Genealogy in the Palisades Library, of which I have a copy. David MANN also had sons Mathias (b. 1741), David (b. 1744), Michael (b. 1745) and Conrad (b. 1750). They are not carried forward. David MANN d.in Seitzen, Germany, and his son George was born there in 1735, and d. 1806 (presumeably in NY). George had sons, David (b. 1768) (10 children b. 1789 - 1807) and George (b. 1771) (6 children b. 1798 - 1822). Could your lines be descended from one of the brothers of the elder George?
