    3. I also received the information that Doris Lane forwarded to us on the new Genealogy Library, and the site does look wonderful. I live far away from my research area and this looks like a marvelous means to check out some material I normally have no opportunity to see. However, for me there is a problem. I will not under any circumstances put my credit card number on the internet, no matter what safety precautions they promise. I am willing to give my credit card number over the telephone or mail them a cheque in U.S. dollars. So, I did proceed to call the Genealogy Library 800 number and was told there is no other way to join but the internet. They will not take telephone or mail orders for this service. I don't know if other researchers have similar concerns with this issue of credit cards over the internet. Maybe I am among the few who consider this a problem. Perhaps if there are enough of us who are concerned about this issue, we could convince Broderbund (Family Tree Maker) to reconsider the options and provide us with an alternative method of joining. This Genealogy Library is a wonderful opportunity that I really do not want to miss. How do my fellow researchers feel about this issue? Regards, Louise Post, British Columbia, Canada
