Some of this information was pulled from Civil War pension records, some from death certificates, obituaries and grave markers. The Civil War pension records consisted of forms filled out at different times with the dates and places changing each time. James C. Lewis, b. 9/3/1840/1 Walden?/Lake George?/Lexom Plains?/, Orange Co., NY d. 01/01/1919 (Newburgh,NY) (buried Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mountainville) James C. Lewis was the son of John Lewis and Mary Martin. m1. Mary Eliza Odell (d. 3/25/1871 or 03/12/1874) married about one year before death. m2. Anna Johnson (3/15/1850-5/1/1903) birthplace Johnsontown, NY (daughter of Daniel David Johnson and Eliza Hill.) Marriage at Sloatsburgh, Rockland Co., NY 03/25/1872 at the M. E. Church (or 03/12/1875) d. 05/01/1903 (Died at Firthcliff, NY??) (buried Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mountainville) (Had sister = Loretta) James and Anna are buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mountainville, NY and Loretta may also be buried there. (I wonder if her husband died in WWI.) children: Anna/Hannah 10/21/1873 - d. before 04/03/1915 My ggf ==> Henry 10/27/1871/1873?-04/23/1969 (Newburgh, NY) m. ~3/1900 Anna Marie Fundin (from Sweden) who died in 1920 in Cornwall, NY) William 05/02/1875-02/22/1957 George 09/14/1880 (Garrison, NY) - 09/18/1954 (Cornwall, NY) Loretta 04/24/1885 - 01/12/1975 (Mrs. John J. McDonald) Recently, I received information on the Anna Johnson's family (names of her paternal grandparents and g-grandparents).
