I have a snippet from a book titled "History of Orange Co., NY 1683-1881 with the following statement -- "Mr. Benjamin Carpenter laid the keel at the shipyard of Cornelius Carman, Low Point of the steamer "William Young"" Yelverton family who originally came from Wales. "John ----was accompanied by a brother and a sister and his children were John, Anthony, Thomas, James and several daughters. One m. Mr. Carpenter of Goshen; one Mr. Howell of Goshen; one Mr. Marvin of Oxford and one Mr. Carman" Any information about the Carman family of this period and locality would be appreciated. Nancy Vogt
