Is Tompkins Cove a part of Rockland County? I was researching my family HECKMAN and DERR in Haverstraw and I have now found some new information that shows they may have lived in Tompkins Cove. Josephine DERR HECKMAN d. 1/17/1896 possibly Tompkins Cove Charles John HECKMAN d. 3/12/1910 New Britain CT, burried Haverstraw(?) Their son John Joseph HECKMAN married Margaret HORAN in 1899 in Tompkins Cove. Help!! Debbie South Carolina
