Searching for the parents and place and date of birth of my gg-grandfather William BEEKMAN. According to the 1860 census (Indian Valley, Plumas Co., CA), he was born ca. 1815 in NY state (county unknown). He married Mary Alice WOODS (or WOOD) ca. 1854 in CA. Last record of him was an 1861 tax record in Plumas Co. Mary Alice remarried in 1863. Any info or leads will be greatly appreciated! Dean W.
