Sorry for the goof. I think he's correct. I seems to me, they might have been closely related though, perhaps brothers or cousins, because of proximity and of baptismal witness information. For instance, who is Joseph Escott, married to Margrietje [Aertse?], who witnessed baptisms of children of both Jan and Pieter? I haven't looked at the Family Tree Maker information, but the dates I posted earlier were taken directly from the church records, from both the Tarrytown Ref Ch (Sleepy Hollow) and the New Amsterdam/NYC Ref Ch.
