They moved to Goshen, N.Y>, where RUTH (COE) CARPENTER married, second, a Mr. Thurston. Who were the parents of Hannah Smith, who married (as his second wife) MOSES CARPENTER of Goshen N.Y.? Based on my research on all materials that I have seen I have observations/comments: 1. I believe this is the first time I have seen a date of death for RUTH COE. 2. It seems to me that this must have been written by a descendant of Moses Carpenter's second wife, HANNAH SMITH because: The obvious: this person was looking for HER ancestors and also because we know that the named ELIZABETH Carpenter married a WISNER, not a WILSON, (thus showing a lack of re. the first wife's line of descent.) 3. Cole is the only other name that I recognized! I know that a descendant of Moses and his first wife, Elizabeth Runyon had a grandaughter Laura MELVIN who married a Cole, but do not know if this could be the same Cole family mentioned above. 4. The Munro spelling is correct, Reed has been recorded as Reid also, and Redmond is reported as Redman and Redmon. I sure would appreciate any help with this. Who wrote this query?????
