Seeking information on my mother's, aunt's family. WILLIAM NEVINS b. Abt. 1854, resided at 80 Railroad Av., W. Haverstraw, Rockland Co., NY with his family and where he had a tavern. His wife MARGARET/MARGARETTA "MAGGIE CONKLIN1, daughter of DANIEL CONKLIN and JULIA STARR. Their children: 1. INFANT NEVINS, 2. MARY EMMA " Mammie/Mammy" NEVINS, b. 03/1888, NY, d. 04/11/1966, @ home, 80 Railroad Av., W. Haverstraw, Rockland Co, NY. ESTHER NEVINS, b. 04/1894, Rockland Co., NY, d. Aft. Oct. 29, 1971, possibly at a NY State Facility in Spring Valley, NY?, m. ______RIELY/RIELLY/REILY/REILLY. 5. JULIA NEVINS, b. 01/1896. Family tradition says Ester was m. about 6 months when her husband was killed in an auto accident. At Mammie's (Mary Emma) funeral in 1966 was a relative _____ Nevis who owned a cash register company (I believe Sweeda) in Newburgh, NY. His daughter ______ was there also. Mammie is buried St. Peter's. George Dutcher was the funeral director. Living with Mammie & Esster @ Railroad Ave. was Clarence _____. A family tradition says, he was a 1st cousin to the Nevins girls and that he and Mary Emma were secretly married. He died after Mammie and before Ester.
