Christine Clark, jrzywoman@aol.com, 10/30/98 Looking for info on my gg-Grandfather, George Van Zilen, Sr., born March 7, 1854 in Tappan, NY (Rockland County). Was told by a fellow researcher that his name appears in the 1860 NY Census. As I am new at this, I have no idea how or where to access this Census. I keep running into dead ends! All research has ended at George, Sr. and I would really need to get the names of his parents and any other pertinent info in order to go on. Can anyone help?
